Climiate action training for the cycling industry

Shift cycling culture

Shift cycling culture is a joint initiative spearheaded by a team of cycling industry consultants and major bicycle brands including Trek, Scott, Vittoria, Canyon, Rose, Schwalbe, Accell Group, Ampler, QBP, and Schindelhauer.

This collaborative effort stems from the fact that bicycle brands, in their carbon footprint assessments and net-zero carbon emissions plans, fall under Scope 3 emissions. A significant 95% of their production-related carbon emissions originate from upstream suppliers. Therefore, for these major bicycle brands to achieve their 2050 net-zero carbon emissions goals, they must mandate and oversee yearly carbon reduction plans from their upstream suppliers (Scope 1 and 2).

Advantages of ISO 14064-1 and Shift Cycling Culture Certification:

1. Proactive steps towards 2025 net-zero emissions: Demonstrates a tangible commitment to achieving net-zero by 2025.
2. Enhances brand recognition and becomes a preferred choice for customers: Builds customer trust and positions your brand as a top procurement option.
3. Encourages upstream and downstream supply chains to participate: Fosters a collaborative effort throughout your entire supply chain.
4. Contributes to the development of human society: Shows a dedication to broader societal well-being and sustainable progress.
