Sharing Two Stories About Leading by Example

Story 1: The Banana Peel

My two-year-old son is at the stage where he learns by imitating. After watching an educational video about throwing banana peels into the trash, he started eagerly doing the same at home, even reminding himself, “Throw it in the trash, don't litter.”

Story 2: Jumping Down the Stairs

He once copied his cousin's habit of jumping off the last step of the stairs. Although we warned him it was dangerous, he didn't understand until he actually fell and got hurt. From then on, he learned the lesson and now reminds himself,“No jumping, or I'll get hurt.”

These experiences reminded me that children not only learn by observing our actions, but also gain deeper understanding through their own experiences. That's why setting a good example is so important.
